The jewel of the Côte Vermeille and a land of artists, Collioure is just 8 kilometers from our establishment.
Whether on foot, by bike, by boat or by car, this pretty little village is easy to get to.
Thanks to its natural setting, Collioure, the cradle of Fauvism, Pointillism and poetry, has become the site of artistic movements and thoughts. Matisse, Derain, Machado, so many artists who will thrill you in this open-air museum!
Steeped in Catalan culture and tradition, you’ll enjoy strolling through its authentic alleyways, discovering its artists’ boutiques and small restaurants where, at the foot of the Collioure bell tower, you can sample typical Catalan specialties such as anchovies or fish parillades. For lovers of photography, come and visit us in September at the famous “Visa pour l’Image” Festival, the biggest international photojournalism festival in Perpignan, bringing together thousands of visitors every year to share the same passion.
Near Perpignan, a family visit to the fortress of Salses-le Château, dating from the late 15th and early 16th centuries, will take you on a memorable journey through history. Built by the Spanish Catholic kings Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella of Castile, this historic monument near the Etang de Leucate is a fine example of Roussillon’s military heritage.

Following in the footsteps of Dali, Gaudi and Picasso, come and visit this sumptuous city, sure to arouse the curiosity of even the biggest dreamers. If you’re a lover of culture, history, architecture, painting or shopping, you’ll be delighted!
So, whether you’re looking for a stroll, a bargain or a bit of culture, don’t hesitate to take a free private shuttle to the heart of this charming Catalan capital with its undisputed cachet!
